Android · closed test

HeyBooker for Android, before everyone else.

The Android app is in Google Play’s closed testing. Testers get the full app now and help decide what ships.

Three steps, about two minutes.

  1. Opt in with your Google account

Email hello@heybooker.app with the subject “Android beta” and the Google account your phone uses for the Play Store. We add you to the tester list and reply with the link.

  2. Install from Google Play

Once you are opted in, the Play Store page shows an Install button like any other app. It may take a few minutes to appear after you opt in.

  3. Keep it installed for 14 days

Sign in, set up your profile if you don’t have one, and open it when the digest lands. Please stay opted in until we say the test is over: leaving early resets Google’s clock for everyone.

What to expect.

What do I get?

The full app on your phone: the scored casting feed, Booker chat, one-tap applications, comp cards and push notifications when a new casting matches. Everything free in the web app is free here too.

Why does it ask me to stay opted in for two weeks?

Google Play requires a closed test with a group of testers who stay opted in for 14 continuous days before an app can go public. Leaving the test early resets that clock for everyone, so please keep it installed until we say the test is over. Two weeks is also about how long it takes to see whether the daily digest is useful.

What should I look at?

Whatever you would normally do: set up your profile, check the feed for a few days, save and pass on castings, send one application. Tell us what felt wrong, slow or confusing, and any casting that got through that shouldn’t have. Screenshots help.

Is my data treated differently in the beta?

No. The Android app talks to the same servers as the web app and the same privacy policy applies. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. Crash reports from the test build go to Sentry, as they do on the web.

Can I pay for Pro on Android?

Subscriptions are on the web at heybooker.app, and the same account is Pro in the app. The beta has no in-app purchase.

Feedback and bugs: hello@heybooker.app. There is no iOS app yet; the web app at heybooker.app works in any phone browser.
